It with great honor that I announce that I have been asked to be a featured writer for HomeGoods' online blog Openhouse this month.
I am excited about the opportunity to share my home staging and design advice with home sellers and consumers. I am also honored to represent our industry in general and that HomeGoods recognizes that home staging professionals use their products to help home sellers market and showcase their homes.
I invite you to visit my guest blog and comment on my posts- I hope that your feedback will show HomeGoods that home staging professionals are excited about this recognition and are an empowered voice in the home design industry.
The next few weeks will certainly be exciting as I post on their site and share ideas with consumers. I will also be making store appearances and hope that my fellow stagers will come out and give me some support.
Make sure to also check out our website Select Home Stagers as we have "staged" the site to announce the launch of our national staging network and the brand of staging excellence.
Thank you again for all your support as I work to grow and unite the staging industry.

Congratulations Kate! What exciting news!
Cheers,
Congratulations! Now if only Home Goods would recognize us enough to give us a trade discount!! LOL Regardless, it is a great place to find great deals. Good luck---
Kate,
I can't express enough to you and everyone how important something like this is for the STAGING INDUSTRY. Home Goods is Recognizing Staging!!! That is a HUGE accomplishment and all stagers benefit from this. With each and every new organization that will recognize stagers is another step towards mainstreaming our industry.
It is nice to see examples like this so people can see the BIG PICTURE. Consistent promotion of staging as an industry and as a concentrated effort conducted by everyone involved will get this industry to where we need it to be.
As for the trade discounts..... glad you mentioned that Julie, this is being worked on. However, Home Goods needs more than just RESA and my self telling them about staging. Everyone needs to show Home Goods that stagers exist, show them by going to Kate's Blog on Home Goods and comment on the blogs. The Blogs will be a series so each time a new one is released please comment positively on them. Comment that they are insightful and helpful. Show your support and commitment to the Staging Industry on the Home Goods Blog. Don't post comments about getting a trade discount, just comment on what a great blog and idea.
Kate, I have known you for many years now and you have always been a true entrepreneur and visionary. Your vision and efforts to improve the industry as a whole are remarkable and appreciated. You have my 100% support!! On behalf of RESA and our members thank you thank you thank you for this wonderful gift you have given our industry. Recognition!!
Way cool. Way to go. Wahoo!! I can't wait to hear how to stage every house this Spring with a Mediterranean Garden! Global Garden. etc.
A client yesterday bought the most fabulous Ralph Lauren knockoff Dining table that seats 8 with 8 chairs (2 arms, 6 sides) for less than $1,000 at HG a week ro so ago! Can you imagine?!!
It's a great place. Win for them, win for you, win for stagers everywhere. You did good, Kate.
This is exciting for the staging industry, Kate. I will visit your blog with Home Goods. I think they are Marshall's here in Houston. I like to shop for artwork there.
Kathy
I think Janice summed it up nicely. This IS big; big for you and grand for all stagers everywhere!
Congratulations, Kate. Off to see the Home Goods blog.
Kathy
Kate - Wow! Awesome news for you and all of us. Congratulations. I'll be popping in over there for sure.
Jackie
Whew! I just got home from work and it is 11:00 pm but I wanted to make sure to respond to all your kind comments.
First, I want to thank you all for your support. It means so much to me. I have been working on this for a while now and could not spill the beans.
Second, I am so excited about how this can help the staging industry. Bottom line, the more national mainstream venues that recognize what we do and the more consumers see home stagers, the more for ALL of us.
Please take a moment to visit the site over the next 2 weeks and leave a comment. Please note that I had to write about certain product lines and tied them into staging whenever possible. I want HomeGoods to see that staging business owners rely on their products and use them as an integral part of growing our businesses. We are an industry and we have a voice!
Thanks again! KH
Kate this is wonderful for you and all of us! Now use your pull and get them to put one of their stores on the Big Island of Hawaii...please. I'm going through withdrawals knowing that I can't afford to ship anything over there and the only thing close to their product line is Ross. All the best in this new venture!
Congratulations Kate! Thank you for all you are doing to raise the level of our industry. Home Goods is my favorite retail store for staging inventory!!

Great Job, Kate,
Thanks to you, I'll be checking out Home Goods!
Hi All,
Thanks for your comments. I appreciate the support. I have a bad connection so I cannot write much now. I am posting another staging post on HGs tomorrow so make sure to check back. KH
