You know you have been staging for a long time when you get a call from a client you helped years ago to stage their current home. I was elated to hear from 2 clients last month who I had helped 3 years ago and were moving again. Clearly these clients understood that home staging was an essential part of marketing and selling their homes.
I was equally surprised to get a call from a new client to stage their home. When they told me the address of the house something seemed all too familiar. When I pulled up to the house I instantly remembered- this was a home that I staged the first year I was in business! The family that had purchased the home was now moving and wanted to make sure this home looked its best. These clients were a joy to work with! They had already installed new windows and removed all the carpet. They eagerly agreed to make some simple updates- new lighting in all the rooms, polish the hardwood floors, repaint and add new blinds. During our first meeting we discussed what type of buyer would most likely buy the home. Given the great neighborhood and schools I felt it would most likely be a young family. I recommended that the clients use their existing furniture and rent some pieces to give this home the young, trendy look first time home buyers would be looking for. Below are some photos of the transformation. I am thrilled that these clients were so open to staging- I will keep you posted on how quickly they get an offer!

Kate, what a phenomenal transformation in the "before" and "after" photos of the home you staged. It is terrific that the sellers valued your skills and creative penchant to engage your services as they place their home on the market. All too often, seller clients dismiss staging services as being superfluous. But, as you demonstrate so aptly in these photos, the smartest seller clients have become believers! Great job!
Kate, what beautiful work -- I love the fact that you were in the home for a second time with a second seller -- that says volumes about your great work and the value of staging -- I bet it will sell fast, my dear!
Beautiful job! I like the simple window treatments on the focal window - I need to do more of that.
Super job, Kate! As always!
Kate- what every Stager could hope for. . . return clients! And, I can see why. What a beautiful transformation.
Thanks all! I really have to thank the seller for all the hard work they did. They actually listened and it paid off. I got to do the fun part and add the finishing touches.
Kate, So nicely done. What a smart seller to allow you to replace with some trendier pieces. The breakfast are shows exceptional with the old tired table changed out. This is a good illustration that when you want to sell, you need to do what it takes to ensure that your showing is current with what will appeal to buyers.
Repeat business--truly the best testimonials, isn't it?
Good for you Kate! Looks fabulous as always!
Looks great Kate!
Great pictures! Wow, staging the same house again - that really says volumes about your work :-)
Looking good. As a Realtor, it's a reward for me to have 95% past clients and referrals as a major component of my business and now stagers get to have the repeat referral business too. Shows you have staying power and talent of course.
You did a very good job, Kate!
