Boring Mirror on the Wall? MirrorMate Frames Will Fix Them All

As you may know I am a huge fan of MirrorMate Frames the amazing custom frame that can update a boring builder's grade mirror and give your bathroom a brand new look in just minutes. We recently staged the home of Kyle Korver, a professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz. When Kyle played for the 76'ers he purchased a home in the Philadelphia suburbs. When he made the move to Utah we were called in to help him prepare the home for sale.

The home looked beautiful and had a lot of custom upgrades and finishes but the bathrooms needed some finishing touches to give them the higher end look they deserved. Below are some before and after photos of three bathrooms we updated using MirrorMate Frames. What you did not see is that we also stained the bathroom cabinets a darker color to go with the more contemporary feel of his home (they were pickled wood and looked too country) and installed new scones in one of the baths. I am kicking myself for not having before-the-before photos but we were so busy getting the home ready for market that I forgot to take them!

If you have not used a MirrorMate Frame for one of your staging projects make sure to check out their huge selection of finishes and take advantage of their Summer sale- some frames are 40% off!

Kate ~ The Mirror Mate frames are a wonderful upgrade in these bathrooms, and your staging added the final finishing touch.  Beautiful!

Kate - I've never heard of Mirror Mate before.  I've seen people use moulding from Home Depot before.  I'll have to check this option out.

What a great difference!

Question: they do stay with the house, though, right?

Fantastic!  Doesn't even look like the same room!

The MirrorMate is terrific but what really transforms the space is your tasteful, artfully placed accessories.

Hey Kate I tried these about a year ago and they were a living nightmare!! What did we do wrong? We were staging downstairs and heard a crash and went upstairs to find they had fallen and broken. We had to shop that day for a replacement mirror and wind up getting the same old one we were trying to hide. Any suggestions?

Hey Phyllis I am so sorry to hear that! When installing the frame you should be able to just adhere it to the surface of the mirror. Did you have to move any mirror clips that attached the mirror to the wall? If the clips were loose or not properly anchored by the builder then I can see how the mirror could have fallen. I had a client's house recently that when I simply touched the mirror the screws they used to attach it to the wall were loose and came out of the drywall. I had to reattach the mirror before I could use the Mirror Mate.  The Mirror Mate Frame should stick on there and not come off. I will check into this and see what additional info I can get you. KH
