I have been reading a lot of posts lately about how difficult it is to get home sellers to commit to the idea of staging their home. Thanks to Active Rain and the dedication of real estate stagers nationwide, Realtors are better educated about how staging helps to sell homes faster. Home sellers however are still skeptical, siting cost as a reason not to stage. Below are my latest statistics for Pennsylvania (Homes Staged in Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties) The best news? It only cost the home sellers $300.00 for a home staging consultation! I know some people that wear jeans or shoes that cost more than that!
Devon Road, Paoli, PA - sold in 1 day
Anthony Wayne Drive, Wayne, PA- sold in 1 day
Persimmon Drive, Collegeville, PA- sold in 1 day
Crosshill Rd., Royersford PA- sold in 1 week
Ardmore Ave, Haverford PA- sold in 2 days
Crestline Road, Wayne PA- sold in 1 day
Ravenscliff Road, Wayne PA- sold in 2 days

Thanks Nicole,
That is where we come in as stagers- to help home sellers to see their home through what I like to call "the buyer's eye view."
Thanks for the statistics, Kate.
What the sellers need to realize is that Staging doesn't "cost", it "pays"!

Great stats. Sellers are coming around slowly but surely.

Great information...now if we could just ingraine it into both the sellers AND some Realtors minds ;)
I love Va's saying..."Staging doesn't cost, it PAYS!
All the best,
Beth
Kate are you saying that this staging thing ACTUALLY has merit.
GO figure... well I guess you have and what a nice figure you have.
Time for a chard-a-latte'.

Thanks Kate for your stats, it helps us all. Staging is an investment in keeping more of the buters equity!

Love the saying as well.....It's been so hard to get realtors and home sellers to understand they really need to make the leap and "get staged." There are two houses that are vacant "screaming" for staging, I can't get the realtors on either of those properties to return my phone call or my e-mail. Odd, don't you think? They need to realize it's money "in" their pocket instead of "out" of their pocket.
